Glenn Bonner is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of MGM MIRAGE (now MGM Resorts).  Bonner joined MGM MIRAGE in 1997, and has more than 35 years of experience in management and business technology.   Bonner led MGM MIRAGE’s corporate Management Information Systems group for nearly ten years, which encompassed all MGM MIRAGE technology and systems, supporting over 70,000 employees in 24 locations.

As CIO, he was responsible for alignment and execution of the information technology function with the company’s longer-term business strategy.  Under Bonner’s leadership, MGM MIRAGE gained industry-wide recognition for their technology achievements and innovations.  CIO Magazine recognized Bonner as one of the top 100 Chief Information Officers in 1999.  MGM Mirage was also ranked as high as 68th by Information Week Magazine in the Information Week 500 annual ranking of IS organizations in America.

Before his appointment as the company’s first CIO, Bonner led the hospitality industry consulting initiative for Microsoft Corporation.  As the Managing Consultant, Bonner headed up the development of Hilton Hotel’s System 21, the core technology used to manage the guest experience at Hilton hotels world-wide.  Previously, Bonner was employed at Intergraph Corporation as a product manager where he was responsible for all computer-aided manufacturing applications.

Bonner is the past Chairman of the UNLV MIS Department Executive Advisory Board, a past board member of Auburn University’s College of Business Advisory Board and a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Hotel Technology Next Generation organization.  He is an active director in two local Las Vegas companies; 1Velocity a wireless networking company and Skywire Media a messaging applications provider.  He is a noted speaker on technology industry topics such as Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Bonner received a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in Industrial Management.  Bonner is married and is the father of four children, is a bicyclist, a motorcyclist, an avid fly-fisherman and enjoys golf.
